Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is a Former Indian Cricketer and Captain of the Indian national team. He is considered to be one of the greatest captains in the history of Indian cricket, leading the team to numerous victories in major tournaments such as the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Dhoni was born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2004 and quickly established himself as a talented wicket-keeper batsman. He was appointed as the captain of the Indian team in 2007 and held the position until 2017.
Dhoni is known for his calm and composed demeanor on the field, as well as his ability to finish matches with his aggressive batting style. He has numerous records to his name, including the most international matches as captain for India, the most stumpings in international cricket, and the most catches as a wicket-keeper in T20I cricket.
